Peter Wilson has over 26 years kickboxing, martial arts and combat experience. He holds a 5th Dan black belt in kickboxing, 3rd Degree black sash in Kung Fu, 2nd Degree black belt in American Kenpo Karate and a 1st Dan black belt in Filipino Eskrima (weapons). Peter has competed in full contact kickboxing, light continuous kickboxing, freestyle karate and boxing all over the Uk and Europe.
When he turned his hand to training other fighters he successfully trained 35 Northeast champions, 12 British Champions and 1 world champion in Full contact kickboxing,Light Continuous Kickboxing, Freestyle Karate and Weapons Forms.

Peter runs the Tempest Kickboxing Academy in Benalmadena and Calahonda on the Costa Del Sol, Spain with his wife Janine. Janine holds a 4th Dan black belt in kickboxing. She has trained in kickboxing for over seventeen years and won the ladies Full Contact World Championship in Kickboxing after being trained by Peter for only 2 years. Together they teach kickboxing classes in group and private sessions and the sessions range from weight loss (fat burning/calorie burning), body toning, fitness, flexibility endurance training and also preparation for kickboxing competitions.
Peter and Janine also teach children at the academy. Peter, Janine and their son Ricky received extensive training in the USA under Master Greg Silva and his team of expert instructors, on teaching systems for children in martial arts. A lot of the teaching techniques come from working not only with some of the World´s top martial arts instructors but also with child psychologists. The Tempest Kickboxing Academy instructors are experts in assisting children to develop not only physical qualities like balance, co-ordination and agility, but also presonal development skills like self dicipline, self control and respect.
They along with their son Ricky they were the first ever UK martial arts instructors to be trained in the BBSI (Black Belt Schools International) Headquarters School in Coral Springs, Florida. They underwent training at a BBSI Martial Arts Instuctor College with Master Greg Silva (Worldwide President BBSI) and his fantastic team Sensei Diego Perrez, Sensei Eddie Diaz, Sensei Mike Scott and Sensei Juan Hernandez. To this day there are less than a handful of UK instructors to receive this standard of instructor training and recognition from such a highly qualified team while training in the USA.
As a school management team, Peter, Janine & Ricky have visited the USA on 7 different occasions for training under some of the most qualified martial arts instructors in the world on subjects such as Martial Arts teaching, classroom safety, safe and correct sparring, correct student and instructor protocol including sexual harrasment, police checks, first aid, child safety training, family safety training, correct and safe stretching and kicking, correct enrolment procedures, grading and graduation requirements and much more.
All instructors at their UK academies have been local authority police checked and all are first aid certified. Mr Wilson has ensured that all of his expertise and experience has been passed on to all of his instructors at the Tempest Kickboxing Academy.
